For other visitors who have various mobile phones and PDA’s I want to remind you guys that the Shady Puzzle site can be viewed on most phone browsers as well, and the puzzles can be played as long as your phone browser can view Flash animation. Otherwise, not yet.

As for our first mobile phone game, it is already finished, and meant for the iPhone. It’s likely to come out in a day or two now, so all you iPhone users, get ready to hit download. I’ll update you again when it is released on the AppStore – we’ve already submitted it for approval. Yay!

It’s an alien fantasy movie by James Cameron set on a faraway planet whose inhabitants are tall agile blue creatures who plug their hair into other creatures and things to, well, sort of communicate with them.

Now as crazy about puzzles as you’d imagine I’d be, I started dreaming about a fantasy planet like that, with all those forest trees, green, blue, purple, in a very logic-based world (like the Vulcans’ homeworld from Star Trek) where on giant trees grow giant leaves with veins that pattern out into a puzzle grid. Yes, a tree that grows Shady Puzzle leaves and where every leaf has a different unique puzzle and solution!

Inhabitants on this planet would run through the forest every morning before work or school trying out newly-sprouted puzzles, plugging their hair into the empty squares to either shade them, cross them out, or even leave them blank. And when they get it correct, the giant leaf would glow, and the player would feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Now, that’s my kind of fantasy!
